Our 6-12th graders participate in a program called Journey to Adulthood. Journey to Adulthood is a spiritual formation experience for young people that:

  • provides a liturgical frame for their experience in our modern culture
  • celebrates their individuality and their creative potential
  • instructs them in skills needed for successful adult participation in church and society

The program is based on two key concepts.

  • Manhood and Womanhood are gifts from God.
  • Adulthood must be earned.

Journey to Adulthood includes in-depth exploration of self, spirituality, sexuality, and society with the hope of enabling young people to discover and experience the love of God. This scripture-based curriculum is divided into three distinct phases, Rite-13 for grades 6th & 7th, Journey to Adulthood (J2A) for grades 8th and 9th, and Young Adults in the Church (YAC) for grades 10th, 11th, and 12th.

Journey to Adulthood classes meet every week following the 10am service from 11:15am-12:15pm. On the first and third Sundays, we will also have a Youth Meeting, staying until 1:15pm for lunch, fellowship and fun. All youth and their friends are welcome to attend.

In addition to our classes and meetings, our young people participate in outreach, social, and fund-raising activities to enrich their personal and spiritual growth. For a list of Upcoming Activities, please click here.
