New Worship Schedule
begins on January 08, 2010!
Inclusive of the rituals and prayers of the earliest Christians our worship experience simultaneously transmits a contemporary feel in terms of a relaxed environment. Formality and informality join together to form a unique worship ethos. Ritual processions and extemporaneous banter; suits and sneakers; sacred prayer and laughter—they all blend together as a glorious reflection of our diverse spiritual temperaments.
You will notice that our worship space is unique in configuration. For most church seasons of the year we worship ‘in the round.’ During these seasons, the altar, the symbolic presence of God, rests in the middle of the congregation, witnessing to the reality of the Divine presence which constitutes the center of our lives. Additionally, this seating configuration allows us to look across the altar into one another´s faces. This is significant, for it is in one another’s faces that we most powerfully witness to the incarnate Christ, the living presence of God residing deep in our souls.
The climax of our worship experience comes in the most time honored and sacred of traditions: holy communion. In a shared meal of bread and wine, we find ourselves united in the very life of the Living Christ. Importantly, all persons are welcome to participate in this most holy and sacred meal. God’s grace knows no limitations.
