Our stewardship commitment is based on the realization that everything comes from God.
God, the giver of all good things, has made us Stewards for the span of our lives.
God is love and gives all to us as acts of love.
We are made in God's image and find our true selves when we, like God, love and give.
The community of Saint Patrick's believes that stewardship is every member's responsibility
to commit to our mission, in grateful response to God's blessings,
a portion of the time, talent and treasure given each of us.
We acknowledge and affirm the tithe (10%) as the standard of commitment prescribed in the
Old and New Testament and in the Episcopal Church. Through practice,
the Saint Patrick's community has found the joy in putting God first in giving what we have
so graciously received. |
